Shoulder Replacement Surgery
Your shoulder can be damaged by injury or arthritis. The cartilage, or smooth tissue, that lines or cushions the joint wears down leading to pain and stiffness. Shoulder Replacement is a surgery where a new artificial shoulder joint is inserted. It has a smooth surface that protects the bones and allows movement. Recovery times are now approximately 6 months and include a physical therapy program.

Elbow
Your elbow can be damaged due to injury, repetitive use, nerve compression and arthritis. Tendonitis is the most common cause of elbow pain. It can be on the outer side, “tennis elbow” or lateral epicondylitis. Or it can occur on the inside, “golfer’s elbow” or medial epicondylitis. In most cases these can be treated non surgically with anti-inflamatory medicine, braces and physical therapy. In some cases surgery is indicated. Recovery times are usually 6 weeks.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (Wrist)
Carpal Tunnel is a condition that interferes with the use of the hand. It is caused by pressure on a nerve that runs through your wrist. Repetitive motions are commonly to blame but also a previous fracture or fluid retention can cause problems. Once pain, numbness, or tingling occur it should be evaluated by a physician. Both non surgical and surgical remedies are available. Recovery time for surgery is approximately 6-8 weeks.

Fracture Care & Trauma
A fracture is a break in a bone. Bones are typically set in casts. Based on the severity of the break or if multiple breaks occur, surgery will be used to repair the break as well. A series of pins, screws and plates may be used in combination to reset the broken parts. Recovery time varies based on severity of the injury.
