Dr. Hormel is an orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in knee and shoulder surgery. His practice is focused on the surgical treatment of injuries and sports-related conditions of the knee and shoulder. His goal is to return athletes and recreational athletics back to full athletic participation using both surgical and rehabilitative methods.

Dr. Hormel is a native of Bellevue, Washington. He has practiced for over 15 years with Orthopedic Physician Associates. He and his wife Shari have 4 children. He enjoys skiing, golf, woodworking and architecture. Dr. Hormel stays very active and involved in baseball and fast-pitch softball, coaching and helping to prevent and repair athletic injuries.

Dr. Hormel’s expertise is in: Knee and shoulder arthroscopy and reconstruction, sports injuries, knee replacements, cartilage regeneration and meniscal preservation.

Dr Hormel is very knowledgeable, personal and efficient. He did two ACL repairs for me in the past with great results. When I had my resent injury, I had no hesitation to seek out for help once again. Highly recommended.

I could not have dreamed a better first visit than the one I had. Got there early, they got me in early, Dr. Hormel came in immediately (fully 15 minutes before my appointment time) and could not have been nicer. He was very thorough and asked a lot of questions to be sure we were on the same page. No rush, he explained things in plain and simple terms. He answered many questions and scheduled my surgery on the spot. Having helped my older parents through many medical appointments I can say from experience that this visit was nothing short of amazing.

**Update after surgery**

I was amazed again at what an efficient and well run practice that Dr. Hormel has. He came in as friendly as ever for a quick pre-op visit and we had a nice chat. Gave me the rundown on how things would go and exactly what to expect. Anesthesiologist came in and did the same, very friendly and efficient. All the staff was great, I felt very well cared for and comfortable.

I hope I never need him again but I wouldn't think twice about where to go if I ever do.

I had both my knees replaced by Scott 7 years ago. Today i went in for my 3 year check-up.

He very professional and has great bedside side manner.

I would definitely recommend Scott to any of my family/friends.

His staff is also on top of things, top notch operation (no pun intended).

I would give him 5 out of 5.
