Dr. Mankey is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in all conditions of the foot and ankle including treatment of sports injuries, bunions, congenital deformities of the foot, diabetic feet and failed prior surgery.

Dr. Mankey enjoys fishing, and is a University of Washington Huskies fan. He and his wife have three children and are immensely proud of each of them.

My name is Orin, I am 40 and a competitive semi-professional climber. I feel and landed directly on the ground, made up of sandstone rock and granite, not a soft place to land. The worst of the damage came to my left foot, the first point of contact with the ground. My heel had been crushed, to a level that made the first orthopedic surgeon in Bend, Oregon say “I cannot work on this injury". I was then referred up to Seattle to meet with a Dr. Mankey. Dr. Mankey’s surgery and skill in repairing my heel have let me chase the things I love, and do them like I was never injured. He gave me the greatest gift a person can receive, a chance to chase your dreams and follow the path to adventure.

Boy do I feel better! I was scared to be told I needed foot surgery. But my bunions were killing me. It all went well. Everyone was so nice both at Dr. Mankey’s office and the surgery center. Recovery took a while but I’m back to work and in normal shoes again. I feel so much better and can take long walks around Greenlake with my dog. Thanks to everyone at OPA!
