“I wanted to give you an update on my hip. I have been training well but being cognizant not to overdo it. Rock climbed in the summer working back up to hard climbs, biked, and did long trail days. Recently though I had to put her to the test. I did 123 miles in 11 days with no rest days on the Pacific Crest Trail. I decided to do the hardest section which gains 26,000 feet and descends 24,000 feet. The pack was only 26 pounds so traveled light and fast. I would say the hip is 110%. There was a tinge of stiffness on day 9 which was a 15-mile day but I think that was more of an age thing. Thank you Laura for your great, precise work. I use my body and am in tune with little anomalies. Some things I noticed were the micro readjustment back to a balanced body. In holding that old hip in place for 3 or more years I felt adjustments in my left trapezius muscle, the tracking of my right knee, and how I carried my neck. Also, remember the pain in my left hip, that is totally gone now. Not sure if you inform your other patients of these possible adjustments? I will be leading a trip in May of 2022 doing a traverse of the Himalayan range. A 5-month journey over 1000 miles. That’s the report. Sending people your way.”
