William L. Crutcher, M.D.
Dr. Crutcher is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with a special interest in shoulder & elbow surgery as well as fracture care. He enjoys working with patients to understand their condition and help them navigate the available surgical and non-surgical treatment options.
The conditions Dr. Crutcher most commonly treats include shoulder arthritis, rotator cuff tears, shoulder dislocations, labral tears, frozen shoulder, elbow arthritis, tendon and ligament injuries, and fractures of the upper and lower extremities. When needed, he is able to provide his patients with therapeutic interventions including:
- Anatomic shoulder replacement including the Ream and Run procedure
- Reverse total shoulder replacement
- Shoulder and elbow arthroscopy
- Minimally invasive bone-restoration techniques for shoulder instability
- Total elbow arthroplasty
Dr. Crutcher was born and raised in Seattle and happily returned home in 2018 after eight years of school on the east coast. He and his wife have a growing family with a young daughter and their golden retriever, Rosie. He grew up around OPA as his father, James P. Crutcher, MD has been a long-time member of the group. Dr. Crutcher enjoys skiing and hiking the great outdoors, playing tennis and basketball, and spending quality time with family.
