
Jason Boyer, M.D.
Dr. Jason Boyer has been treating patients for sports and orthopedic injuries on the Eastside since 2009. He is passionate about treating injuries of the shoulder, knee, ankle, elbow, and hip, including fractures and joint replacements. Throughout his career, he has helped athletes and non-athletes of all abilities return to their desired activities. When surgery is necessary, Dr. Boyer employs the latest in cutting edge and minimally invasive techniques.
After graduating from Brigham Young University, Dr. Boyer received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, during which time he was active in orthopedic research. After medical school, Dr. Boyer continued his orthopedic training in New York City at the prestigious Hospital for Joint Diseases. While in New York, he was a team doctor for NYU athletics and the Alvin Ailey Dance Company. After completing residency in New York, Dr. Boyer pursued a Sports Medicine fellowship in Santa Monica, California. His training during fellowship focused on state-of-the-art techniques involving cartilage repair and replacement, ligament reconstruction, arthritis treatments, and returning athletes to the playing field. While in Santa Monica, he was a team doctor for the LA Galaxy, Chivas USA, and the Men’s National Soccer team. He was also one of the staff physicians for Pepperdine University athletics, and Santa Monica College football.
Dr. Boyer is a published author in such respected publications such as The Journal of Orthopedic Research, Arthroscopy, and The Journal of Arthroplasty. He has authored and co-authored articles in definitive texts of articular cartilage replacement and preservation.
Dr. Boyer enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, as well as outdoor activities including hiking, camping, backpacking, playing various sports, and attending sporting events. and skiing.
